Slate wagons arethe basic vehicle for transporting roofing slates from the quarry to the destination. As roofingslates are relatively fragile, they were packed vertically into the open slate wagons to reduce the chance that they will be broken in transit. This model depicts the later design with a steel framed body.106mm Long x 52mm Wide x 58mm High.
Available with open or closed sides as an option.
This kit is supplied without brass axle bearings but they are available with replacement axle boxes as an option.
